English Flaherty is a certified Physician Assistant providing adult primary care at High Country Community Health. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University in 2016. After graduation, she spent several years working in therapeutic settings—specializing in wilderness therapy—before transitioning to medicine.

She is grateful to serve the High Country community and is committed to expanding access to quality, inclusive healthcare for all. When she’s not in clinic, English takes full advantage of life in the High Country. She enjoys running, biking, and climbing on sunny days, or relaxing with a good book and her knitting when indoors.
