The updated Covid-19 vaccine helps everyone stay healthy and protect their community.
The new Covid-19 boosters contain an updated bivalent formula that both boosts immunity against the original coronavirus strain and protects against the latest Omicron variants that account for most current cases. Updated boosters provide optimal protection against the virus and address waning vaccine effectiveness over time.
Getting your vaccine/booster is easier than ever.
COVID vaccines continue to work very well at preventing severe illness, hopitalization, and death. The updated COVID vaccines are here to help protect against Omicron. Get your updated vaccine now if your last dose was before September 2022 (October 2022 for kids 6 months - 11 years).Otherwise, wait until two months after you complete your primary vaccination series. Completing your primary vaccination series means you got your first two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, or Novavax vaccinne, or your one dose of Johnson & Johnson's vaccine. Children 6 months - 4 years who got all three doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech primary vaccination series don't need an updated vaccine at this time.
