If you are enrolled in a BCBS plan through HCCH you may have recently received a
Teladoc membership card in the mail.
This Teladoc membership provides you with 24/7 access to doctors by phone or video.
Whenever you need care there is a medical provider available within minutes.
The cost is $10 for employees participating in the PPO plan
and an average of $49 for employees participating in the HDHP plan.
The cost would be cheaper than a copay at the urgent card.
Starting July 16th, the national 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline goes live. Similar to 911, 988 will serve as a national number that connects callers with a local crisis team. While you can still give local crisis numbers to patients (mobile crisis, Hope4NC, etc), 988 can be called or texted at any time by anyone.
Here is the information from SAMHSA-
Beginning July 16, 2022, 988 will be the new three-digit dialing code connecting people to the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, where compassionate, accessible care and support is available for anyone experiencing mental health-related distress—whether that is thoughts of suicide, mental health or substance use crisis, or any other kind of emotional distress. People can also dial 988 if they are worried about a loved one who may need crisis support.
